Moving on For Positive Change!!!

Effective with this post, this blog will end.  I have stepped down as Chairman of the Illinois Modern Whig Party; not because I do not support the Modern Whigs, but because I cannot give the party the time or funding necessary to make the Illinois Modern Whig party a viable contender in the state.

I will continue to support the party and work for them if and whenever asked, but I am no longer going to serve as the chairman.

However, as a person who does not know when to shut up, I have started a new blog which will continue to focus on my efforts to spread my message against those who would destroy the U.S. Constitution, and all it represents.

The website will be "whig" based, but not affiliated with the Modern Whig Party. Please join me on my move to the new blog site -  LincolnWhig.blogspot.com

I Am Not A Liberal!

Remember the good ole days when American's were proud, hard working and principled?  Remember when Ronald Reagan led us into an era of patriotism and prosperity?  Remember how he was able to tell the truth and win praise from 90% of America, at his highest point?

Ronald Reagan told Americans that it was good to be free; and it was good to work for what you have.  He also taught us that it was okay to be poor, I mean truly poor...eating home cooked meals made from scratch; playing with toys made from old newspapers; watching black and white television through static; while friends had color television and a fancy antenna; and later, cable tv.  He taught me that, as with his childhood, I was "poor but did not know it".  He taught us that "poor" was neither a disease nor a handicap and did not require pity from anyone. Ronald Reagan taught us that expecting the government to carry us through life was wrong.  It was a life style which defined the American Liberal; it was not American!

By contrast, striving to build a good life through hard work, integrity and faith in God is what defined a true American, from the founding of our nation.  It was defined as conservatism.  It mandated a government which did not intrude into the lives of American citizens.  It provided for a government that worked for, not depended on, it's citizens.

Over the past few months however, I have began noticing bumper stickers which proudly state, "Not a Conservative", or "Not a Republican".  At first glance, I thought to myself, when the "Not a liberal" bumperstickers were popular 3 decades ago, people displayed them with pride and most people agreed with the message.  Today however, with the anti-conservative bumperstickers, I could not help but think these people appear foolish.  After all, they are boasting beliefs which are nothing close to what America is all about.

Then I see bumperstickers which boast, "Jesus was a liberal" or "Jesus was a democrat".  This may be an opinion, but I find it blasphemous.  Jesus believed that man should help his brother's and sister's who cannot help themselves, but I have not read anything which would lead me to believe that our Lord and Savior agrees with the pro-choice crowd, or the masses who would have other people work hard and give everything to the government, so the lazy could last for generations without working a single day - taking and taking, while giving nothing back.  As I see it, my life and what I do is the assignment I am given when I was put on earth. My body and all that is physically "me", is on loan from God.  As such, it is my responsibility to take the best care of his property that I can.  While I am ashamed that I have not taken the best care of this body, I try to work hard and I try to take care of myself as best I can as a weak servant. I also try to never take advantage of or abuse this gift.  To be a sloth is to commit one of the 7 deadly sins.

As we watch our president make his rounds this past week, he has encouraged people to take advantage of the "free" gifts of the government - food, insurance, welfare and so forth.  The president has justified and continues to justify not only the sin of sloth, but the sin of greed and envy as well; and he does this with purpose.  In a speech to young people in a college today, the president vilified the Republicans and cited our philosophical differences.   It was not that long ago that our nation's leader would never paint a group negatively for trying to cut spending.  In fact, when Obama served his single and part-time term on the senate, he called George W Bush a traitor.  He said that George Bush was UN-patriotic for spending so carelessly.   If this is true, how are we to characterize Obama, who has outspent George W. Bush, 3 to 1?  Using Obama's words, this would make him (Obama), three times the traitor, which by all measures is punishable by forfeiting his citizenship or imprisonment or firing squad.

As responsible citizens, we are faced with this cancer, which is deadly to democracy.  As responsible citizens, it is our job to educate the masses.  To teach the young people that it is wrong to take a bite from the poison Obama apple.

Many people feel this is a temporary hiccup in our system of government, which will pass when Obama ends his final term in 2016.  What these people do not realize is that once you give people something for free, it will become an expectation of the government. Once we become accustomed to the "free" goods, it will be impossible to change back.  Today versus only 8 years ago, the number of people on food stamps have tripled, reaching the highest level in history.  Over the past year, in a very affluent area in the western suburbs of Chicago, a school district reports that participation in the free lunch program has increased from about 12% to over 30%.  I was told that the school is calling the parents and telling them to sign a paper, allowing the school to give free food, adding that parents are sometimes reluctant.  In other words, the government is forcing the schools to push free lunch or lose funding all together.

Today, by ratio, more people are on some form of welfare than at anytime in our nation's history.  Worse yet, according to the census bureau; for the first time ever, there are more people collecting "means based" aid  from the government, than there are people working a full time job.  Even worse, these facts are based on a 2 year old census. It is likely that the trend not only continued, but I fear the margin of takers to givers has widened in favor of the takers.

Obama is out on the campaign trail, blaming all of the nation's problems on the Republicans and the government shut down.  The government is painting progressiveness and liberalism as a good thing, encouraging people to "hit the streets" to increase participation in Obamacare, ala "Hitler Youth"!  He calls it "Team Obamacare"!

If you find yourself leaning toward "giving in" to the growing trend, you should splash some water on your face and maybe slap yourself a few times.  It is your responsibility as an American, as it is mine; to begin working the trail and getting the word out that liberalism is not only bad, but just plain deadly to our democracy.  We need to instill that sense of pride that Ronald Reagan taught us.  We need to teach people that conservative thinking is better for everyone, not just the rich.  Using every medium available - Facebook, You_Tube, Twitter, whatever; we need to teach the young people that it is only through the success of the rich, that jobs are created.  When was the last time that a poor person hired people?

It is time to revive the true idea of American democracy.  It is time to speak up and speak out.  It is time for each of us to echo the words and beliefs of Ted Cruz.  It is time to stop accepting the liberal way as the acceptable way.  It is time to declare loudly and with pride that you too, are not a liberal.

You Can Lead A Horse To Water...

But you cannot stop a horses ass from unloading all over the place.  Such is the diarrhea we have been drowning in since the media circus began yesterday.  And there were enough horse asses to last a lifetime.

Ass number one, our illustrious senator, Dick Durbin.  This moron makes horse crap smell good.  He was telling America how the republicans will destroy a recovering economy if they close government.  He could hardly say it with a straight face.  He struggled to call it a "recovering" economy and to convince himself, he had to say it a couple times, "the economy is slowly recovering", he assured himself.

Of course, Harry Reid is such a horses ass and spews so much, let's call it, unpleasantness, that even flies stay away from him.  I am so sick of hearing his lies that I can bring myself to repeat them.  It has grown tiresome.

Then there is the Commander in Chief of the horses asses.  Every campaigning, today he repeated his ridiculous lie again, telling the county how (not verbatim), we have worked hard to overcome crises from previous administrations, and they want to throw us back into a new made-up crisis.  This on the same day retailers announced a disappointing back to school shopping season and are preparing for an equally disappointing Halloween and Christmas.  None-the-less, every time he told us how he guided us out of the previous administration's crisis, I had to ask myself, how?  Where?  When?  From all indications, the economic recover is anemic at best, non-existent at most.

Now, when he refers to the previous administration, if he is talking about his last four years, well that would not be a lie.  Otherwise, he is pathetically still blaming George W. Bush.  This alone would be enough to win him the golden pacifier award.

For those who are warming up to this tool because Bill Clinton supports him?  Remember, Hillary will run in 2016 and these equally morally bankrupt, comic book characters will want Obama's support when she runs.  As for Bill, we already know what he is and based on his, under the desk activities, we also know his price...and it is not very high.

So GOP leaders, you know what to do, if you choose not to do the right thing, you already know you will take the blame for EVERYTHING that goes wrong and you know you will seal the fate of the 2014 election and you know you are likely to give up the 2016 election.  In short, you are every bit as responsible for the destruction of the United States as Obama and his galloping goof balls.

For anyone who would question my patriotism, I will say this...I love my country!  The United States of America!  I love what this country stands for - our Constitution, our history and our freedom.  I do not love or support what one president, 100 senators, 435 state representatives, 8 supreme court justices and one chief justice in 2013, are doing to our country.  It is wrong, IT is not patriotic, IT is not American!

In short, you can lead these horses to water and push them in but the stink will not go away.

Sorry, We're Closed!

So Ted Cruz spent more than 21 hours telling the nation why Obamacare is bad.  He also took a lot of heat for doing this from members of both parties.  The sad thing is, if the Republican party had taken a more aggressive position from the start, we wouldn't be in this position today. Since 2006,  conservatives have been beaten down by the left and by the media through lies, misrepresentations and false accusations.  Through it all, the conservative leadership has taken a passive approach by either responding to charges with a wimpy response or not responding at all.

With increasing frequency, the left is rewriting history in an effort to make republicans and conservatives appear evil.  Over the past several weeks, I have heard politicians, radio hosts (and callers); and even the president; describe Ronald Reagan as a president who gave the rich all the breaks at the expense of the middle class. Our college age voters today did not know Ronald Reagan.  They did not know that he led the country out of the worst economy in our nations history, until now; and into the longest economic expansion in our nations history.  College students today do not know that the lifestyles of all Americans, poor to rich, drastically improved because of the economic policies of the Reagan administration.

Just this past week, republicans in congress were compared to terrorists with "bombs strapped to their chests".  This, in response to the republicans refusing to pass the finance bill with a rubber stamp.  Obama, Pelosi, Carney and others have said over and over, how they will not negotiate...  Now, if any republican president or lawmaker would have said this, he or she would have already been kicked out of Washington.  If a republican president said he would not negotiate, he would have been smeared throughout the nation and the world.  In fact, Ronald Reagan's success could only be attributed to his ability to bring the two sides together and LEAD them to a compromised resolution.  Lead and compromise, two words which cannot be used to describe Obama.  One other interesting observation is how Obama repeatedly says, "we will not negotiate..." Is there a connection or a play on words since George HW Bush said, "we will not negotiate with terrorists".

Obama, supposedly in his final term, has attacked conservatives, Christians, Fox News, and everyone else he has disdain for, which is anyone who does not agree with him.  Can anyone remember Ronald Reagan personally attacking the citizens he was supposed to be representing?  Reagan was elected by 60% of the population, but he was president to all Americans, Obama is president to himself and the people he chooses to help; gang bangers, Islamic extremists and Hollywood.

So back to the topic at hand, do republicans allow government to close on October 1?  Have they learned nothing from the sequester, when Obama closed public parks and anything else which would attract attention of the media?  Allowing government to close would mean one of two things, either republicans are working on Obama's behalf, or they are incredibly stupid.  A closed government would be the best thing that could happen to this administration as it would guarantee a democratic blowout in 2014, a veto-proof repeal of the 22nd amendment and a guarantee of the total destruction of the American form of government.

If the government were to close, anything further that would go wrong with the country or Obamacare, would be blamed on the republicans closing government.  Heck, Obama is still blaming George W Bush for the economy today.  Is it really too complicated for these guys to figure out?  This past week, Obama said he would not let republicans reverse all of his accomplishments.  You see, here he is positioning himself to blame EVERYTHING on republicans, particularly since he has accomplished nothing.  The republicans must not play into his wicked hand.

The correct way to play this hand is very simple.  You've made your point, now let the bill through and let the sparks fly.  Following the passage of this poison pill, republican leadership must be in front of cameras everyday, telling America how their lives are worse because of (fill in stupid Obama plan here).  When Obama says, well you voted for it, the republican lawmaker can say how he voted against it before he voted for it.  Apparently, this is a way to erase stupid decisions politicians make.  After-all, John Kerry used this as his anti Iraq war position.

Like all other crazyness we are seeing today, history tends to repeat itself.  Today we are watching the implosion of the republican party because they cannot take a position or a stand.  Strangely enough, it was idealogical incompetence of the Whig party in 1856 which caused Lincoln to join the new Republican party.  This Tuesday, we may very well see the beginning of the end of the republican party.  In other words, if the "Sorry, We're Closed" goes up, republicans better start posting in the "Positions Wanted" section of the newspaper.

Is It Time To Give Up?

Several days ago, I had an opportunity to listen to the Dennis Miller Show on 560AM, WIND, in Chicago.  Though I do not get the opportunity to listen very often, I have always enjoyed Dennis Miller for his intellectual humor; and since his show was added to the WIND lineup, for his political points of view. From time to time however, I have had reason to question some of Dennis' positions.  Occasionally, these "questionable" points of view have given me reason to re-think my positions.

On this particular day, a caller questioned Dennis' attitude toward the president of late.  The caller felt that Dennis has taken a laid back position, arguing that if Dennis was practically required by virtue of his celebrity, to fight for the conservative cause.  The caller was essentially telling Dennis that if he were not a part of the solution, by default he would become part of the problem.  I agreed with the caller as I have been telling everyone that we are not fixing anything by ignoring everything this president is doing to destroy our country.

Dennis respectfully disagreed with the caller, reasoning that none of the garbage this president is doing, is worth taking minutes from his life.  Dennis observed that he was becoming angry all the time and he did not like the way it felt.  He said that he would not give the president this much power over his life, allowing the president to determine when or whether Dennis would be happy.  Dennis said he respected the caller's opinion but did not feel the president was worth the energy.

Dennis next began reasoning about how the president was elected twice by a overwhelming majority, indicating that as a nation, our priorities have changed.  He believed that this is the president and the desires of the current generation.  This is the part that caught my attention.  This is the part that made me stop and think.  Afterall, my generation had Ronald Reagan.  Ronald Reagan represented and was a reflection of my generation.

The ideals of my generation were personal accountability; hard work equals rewards; peace through strength; respect for the law and love of country.  We were a nation of doers, takers were the exception.  The nation was united under Ronald Reagan and while people may not have liked other people who were different, most people respected those who were different.  It was during this period in our history that I believe we made our strongest gains in racial relations.

Today's generation is made up of victims.  Everyone is a victim of somebody - blacks are victims of business and hispanic vigilantes; gays are victims of conservatives, women are victims of men, hispanics are victims of whites, elderly are victims of big business, those who do not have are victims of those who have. Each day on the news, there are stories of how one group or another is being victimized by someone. This is in complete contrast to the Reagan philosophy.

Because we are victims, we believe the government owes us.  The government owes us healthcare, food, housing and a college education among many other things.  Now who will pay for this?  The government!  Who is the government?  Each of us are the government, however the "haves" are the people who are funding the government since the "have-nots" do not pay taxes.  Broken down to the lowest common denominator, much of this generation believes the "haves" should pay the way for the have-nots.

This way of thinking has been created by an administration which has mastered the art of divisiveness.  This administration has taught our youth that rich people have become rich by taking from the poor and middle class.  They have used this argument to convince the new generation that government is far more qualified to make financial decisions then those who actually earn the wages.  This again, is in contrast to the Reagan philosophy.  Ronald Reagan believed that government is not the solution to our problems and he believed that citizens, you and I; were much more capable than government,  of making our own financial decisions.

Our Constitution gives us the rights to "life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness."  The Constitution does not guarantee the right to a home or healthcare or even food.  It does however, grant each of us the right to "pursue" each of these things if we truly want or need them.  We can pursue our happiness through hard work or through begging or by stealing.  During the Reagan years, or through my generation, we were taught to obtain what we need or desire through hard work; a lesson taught to us by our parents and our government leaders.  The idea of begging or stealing was discouraged and/or punished.

The generation of today has been taught that working for what they need or want is unfair.  There is a certain pride associated with dependency, to the extent that parents can now carry their children on their healthcare insurance well into their 20's.  This generation has even made begging fashionable as we see someone holding a sign at virtually every off ramp or major intersection.  Stealing is virtually revered as we tend to idolize celebrities who are caught stealing. Gift giving during holidays is not a consideration or an option, but an expectation.  While as children, my generation was taught to be grateful for any gift we received, today, any gift we give must not fall below an unwritten minimum; and while cash is preferred, gift cards are acceptable.

So, as I think about what Dennis Miller said on his show, I agree it would be much better to lose the anger because I do not the way it feels.  However, I disagree that this is the decision of the new generation and it is their turn at bat.  If people took this position during the transitional points of our nation's development, I wonder where we would be today?  In fact, I believe it was our leadership which had people striving to achieve their dreams during the 1980's.  It was leadership which united us as a nation after the attack on New York in 2001.  While leadership had taken us to great heights in past generations, the lack of leadership has created the atmosphere of dependency and malaise we are experiencing today.

To sit back and let things happen, will not fix the problems with our young generation.  Becoming vocal and teaching our young people that our nation is only as good as the people allow it to be and as strong as we make it; this, and only this will fix the problems over time.  We owe this not only to future generations, but more importantly, to those who sacrificed over the past 237 years.

Numbers Don't Lie!

Listening to the news over the past few days, I learned that for yet another month, unemployment fell.  It is now as 7.4%, if you listen to the White House.  But is there anyone still listening to the White House anymore?

Throughout the five plus years of the man pissing all over our Constitution and our citizens, month after month, I have listened to the same bull.  Today we report lower unemployment for the most recent month and in the side notes, there is a nearly obscure blurb about how the previous month's numbers were "revised up".  The democrats strategy has been to put out what they want the people to believe today, and apologize for the mistake later.  In fact, we are a stupid people and we only remember the first story, never the revision or retraction.  I wonder though, why is it that I am the only one who sees this?

Enough with the lies!  Let's dissect the numbers in real life.  The government said unemployment fell in July.  What they forgot to mention is that fewer jobs were created than expected. Of the new jobs we heard the president boasting about, 75% of them were part-time.  In fact, since 2008, about 3/4 of all jobs created, and there were not too many, were part-time.

What the President and his people also failed to mention is that the unemployment rate does not include people who fell off the rolls.  Remember, the endless unemployment of Obama's last term is now limited, so each month, more and more people stop collecting unemployment and therefore, fall off the rolls.

What also was not mentioned is that people who simply gave up searching for work, are no longer counted.  This would be your 55 and up crowd who may have enough saved to take a chance on letting their savings carry them to retirement.  Many of these people are now empty nesters, with the house paid for and no longer need the career or the income of their previous life.  They are among the people who take the part-time Home Depot jobs which Obama was bragging about.

The last thing that was not mentioned is how our former servicemen and women are no longer counted on the unemployment rolls when they are discharged and left to their own survival skill.   This, by the way, was initiated under our previous Democratic President.  Funny how the Dems put our hero's out of work without benefits of any kind, but conservatives are portrayed as the heartless.

At the end of the day, the real unemployment is actually closer to 18%.  It may sound harsh, but it is true.  The people working 20 - 25 hours are not earning a livable wage and should not be counted as working.  But the most disturbing part of this is that as Obamacare takes effect, more companies will eliminate full time jobs and replace them with part-time help. I am not saying anything new.  This is not a revelation.  I just have to wonder, does anyone else see this?  Most of this information is available on the DOL website.  To arrive at the correct number, you will need to do extensive research as the administration has done it's best to hide information under every rock they find, but after the work is done, you will see the numbers don't lie.

Look to Your Left, Then to Your Right...

Then grab your gun.  In another unthinkable move by this incompetent and in my opinion, felonious administration; the EEOC decided that General Dollar Stores and US BMW, were practicing racism by performing background checks on potential employees.

It appears, the EEOC feels that because "blacks are more likely to be convicted"..., it is unfair to perform background checks as it gives whites and other's a disproportionate advantage.  WOW, who is really being racist?  If any other administration made a statement such as this, the media would have a field day.  In this case however, I would like to hear the media call this for what it is;  ultimate Obama divisiveness!  This is literally the Obama administration pitting blacks against, well, everyone else and it is criminal!  In this one statement, this administration has done more to divide the races, than anything else he has done thus far.  The sad thing is, he is not done yet.  Further, anyone who believes this is not part of a greater, more deviate plan, needs to get their head out of his ass!  If you have not learned this by now with the "Scandal of the day", you're brain dead!

All of the news is not bad though; it's true, you may now be murdered or raped by a new co-worker, which is terrible, but will become a very real threat in the future.  The good news however, in keeping with his dangerous track record, is that the victims or their survivors; will still be able to sue the employer because a court will rule that despite the laws against background checks, the employee should have known and should have put steps in place to protect the employees.

I know this notion may sound ridiculous, but it is not much different than the regulation stating that employers may not question an applicant's legal residency status or the paperwork they present, but will face stiff fines if they hire undocumented aliens, reasoning that the "employer knowingly, or should have known"...  Combine this with the blatant corruption which defines this administration and nothing should surprise anyone.

I have been warning of the limitless madness of this man before he was first elected.  My message has not changed, but the warnings are becoming more critical.  I feared our great nation would be driven to it's knees. I warned we would be reduced to a third world status (or well on our way).  I dare anyone to challenge me on the speed at which we are racing for the cliff.

The future of our nation as we know it is in pearl.  As we approach the celebration of our independence in a couple weeks, we do so with arguably, the most corrupt, the most criminal and the most evil executive branch this nation has ever seen, with a legislative branch dealing to sell their soul.

In my 32 years of voting eligibility, I have never distrusted our government as much as I do today.  I no longer take the news we are getting from the government at face value.  I questioned the integrity of the news about the videographer during the Benghazi invasion.  I said he would be arrested and never heard from again.  So far, I am on the mark.  He was put in jail and nobody has heard from him since.

With the ever growing mysteries and scandals which have come to define this administration, I now question the guilt of the Boston bombing suspects.  I hate to feel like this because I love my country and I hate to think our leader would have less integrity than a terrorist, but this is Obama's legacy.

I am now listening to stories about Snowden and how he leaked NSA information. He is being called both, a hero and a traitor.  Frankly, I cannot pick a side here either.  I can only say that some of our forefathers were called traitors because they called the King of England out on the carpet.  Everything about the NSA story, everything, stinks to high heaven.  As with every other unbelievable-but-true tale that is told about Obama's presidency, the President didn't know anything, but should have known.  Unlike with the INS rules about checking paperwork, in this case, the President definitely should have known!

If we survive as a nation, I predict this President will be charged and convicted of treason. We will never get back all that we lost during the years of Obamism.  Our innocence will be gone forever and the scars will be deep, but the day Obama is sentenced by Congress, we will celebrate the strength and resilience of our Constitution!

God Bless America!  God Save America!
